Ever wonder about the key to longevity?
The Japanese have a word, Ikigai,that encompasses a philosophy of a "life worth living"and that aging is an opportunity to keep working, keep smiling, keep active, and keep being social.
Being active in mind and body reveals the HOW to cultivate and choose what is essential to keep and maintain in a life worth living. Begin with choosing what you want in life and what you want to keep!
Our general education normally does not include physical prowess in in how to fall.
As babies we learn how to balance and eventually walk by falling.
Which may sound counter intuitive as adults but imagine that it is never too late recovering basic neurological patterns.
Rather than prevention shifting perception

Being present as essence of being safe in any situation.

Learn to balance if afraid of falling, especially if you have history of injuries,
stiffness or other mobility issues.
Classes encompass a range of ages and degrees of physical ability, including individuals that are less physically fit or lead a sedentary life style and definitely would like to add more movement freedom in personal life.

A study from Journal of Allied Health showed that 50-to 60 year olds fall more than older folks. Because they are more active and puts them more at risk of falling.The CDC found people are more likely to suffer a traumatic head /brain injury than from any other cause.
